The program of the event addresses climate change, biodiversity loss and food security - and aims to highlight the fundamental role of root research in solving these problems. The focus is on the root research community and a mutual exchange between chemists, biologists, physicists and modelers working in different ecosystems at different levels, i.e. from the laboratory to the field, from local to a global scale.
