Birds are frequently translocated, and their vulnerability to threats such as habitat loss, introduced species, disease, and climate change means that translocations are likely to become increasingly useful and necessary for bird conservation. However, they carry high risks and involve complex considerations during the justification, planning, and implementation phases. This conference will discuss the latest research from academia and practitioners in the field of bird translocation and highlight key opportunities and challenges for advancing these areas.
